Department of Education (B.Ed.)
The Department of Education (B.Ed.) at Karm Kshetra Post Graduate College, Etawah, is dedicated to the preparation of competent, reflective, and socially committed teachers capable of addressing the emerging challenges of contemporary education. The department endeavors to nurture professionally skilled educators who possess academic excellence, ethical values, leadership qualities, and a lifelong commitment to learning and nation-building. The department follows the vision of providing quality teacher education through an integrated approach that combines theoretical knowledge, pedagogical innovation, practical exposure, and value-based education. The B.Ed. programme is designed in accordance with the guidelines of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and aims to develop professional competencies, critical thinking, communication skills, and inclusive educational practices among prospective teachers. Emphasis is laid on experiential learning through school internships, teaching practice, micro-teaching sessions, seminars, workshops, community engagement programmes, educational excursions, and the effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching-learning processes. The department encourages action research, reflective practices, and continuous professional development to prepare future teachers as facilitators of knowledge and agents of social transformation.
