Introduction


Providing a safe, respectful, and healthy environment for all girl students on our campus is our highest priority. The Girls' Grievance Redressal Committee (GGRC) has been constituted to address the problems, grievances, and concerns of girl students in a timely and impartial manner.
The Committee provides a platform where every girl student can express her concerns without fear or hesitation. We are fully committed to promoting gender equality and women's empowerment on the campus.

Objectives


• Safe Environment: To prevent any form of discrimination, ragging, harassment, or misconduct within the college campus.
• Prompt Redressal: To take immediate and appropriate action on grievances reported by girl students.
• Awareness and Empowerment: To make students aware of their rights and to instill confidence and self-reliance among them.

Roles and Responsibilities


1. Hearing of Grievances: To consider and address any academic, administrative, or personal issues related to girl students with utmost seriousness.
2. Confidentiality: To maintain complete confidentiality regarding the identity of the complainant and the details of her grievance, thereby ensuring her privacy and security.
3. Counseling and Support: To provide appropriate counseling and guidance to students facing mental stress, academic pressure, or any other personal issues.
4. Awareness Programmes: To organize workshops and seminars on gender sensitization, self-defense, women's health, and related issues from time to time.
5. Fair Investigation: To ensure an unbiased inquiry by hearing both parties and arriving at a fair and just decision at the earliest.

Types of Grievances Handled


Girl students may approach the Committee regarding any of the following issues:
• Ragging, bullying, or mental harassment within the college campus or classrooms.
• Any form of gender-based discrimination.
• Any kind of physical, verbal, or emotional harassment.
• Issues related to basic facilities on the campus or in the library, such as clean washrooms, sanitation, hygiene, and security.

How to File a Complaint?


For the convenience of students, grievances may be submitted through the following channels:
• Offline Mode: Students may drop their written complaints in the Grievance/Suggestion Boxes placed at various locations on the campus.
• Direct Contact: Students may directly approach any member of the Committee and discuss their concerns in person.
Note: The identity of the complainant will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without her consent.
